Just... damn.

You know, it didn't really hit me until I saw that one of the attacks was at Kings Cross. It's odd that that's what it took for me, some random Harry Potter connection and -bam- I'm crying. But it did, because Kings Cross has meaning for me, and finally all the connections snapped together in my brain and I was sitting at my computer crying because... dear God.

So, here goes:

Regardless of the inanities and recklessness of this Administration, and regardless of the reasons why we are where we are today at this moment of time on this beautiful planet...

I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all Londoners, with all UK'ers, with anyone who was affected either directly or indirectly by today's attacks, including people who are being forced to remember old wounds today.

We were grateful for the support provided by people all over the world in the wake of the September 11th attacks.

Today, I am a Londoner.
